A place to recognize indigenous culture past and present.

The Eastern Woodland Collaborative is being formulated to increase awareness of the Eastern Woodland Native American culture as it exists now and in the past.  The collaborative consists only of tribal communities and indigenous organizations originating from or residing in the areas shown below in the lightest shade of green. Mantinicunk Island is but a speck of the eastern woodland territory, not capable of being visible on a regional map.  The opportunities are countless throughout the territory.   We believe the time is now for Mantinicunk Island. (Map is from the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. )
